Bad Plus, 1882 – 1971 yılları arasında
yaşamış Rus besteci, piyanist ve orkestra şefi Igor Stravinsky’nin ilk kez
Paris’teki Théâtre des Champs-Élysées’de 29 Mayıs 1913 yılında
sahnelediği ünlü eseri "The Rite of Spring”i caz formunda
yeniden yorumlanıyor.
Eseri ilk kez 2011 senesinde
"On Sacred Ground: Stravinsky’s Rite of Spring” programında sahneleyen
The Bad Plus, bu performansıyla ilgili New York Times ve Boston Globe’tan övgü
dolu yorumlar aldı. The Bad Plus’ın Stravinsky’nin en ünlü eserini icra ettiği bu
albüm, tüm müzik severler içinmükemmel bir arşivlik albüm olma özelliği taşıyor.
